There are prestigious International Excellence Scholarships available to students, this intended to reward applicants to undergraduate and postgraduate courses who have demonstrated excellence through their academic results. Apart from this there are bursaries available to students from South Asian countries. This is defined as students either holding a passport from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal or Sri Lanka

• Available for most of the courses beginning in Jan 2010 or September 2010
• No need to apply separately

Eligibility

• These awards are only available to students paying overseas fees
• These awards are only eligible to students paying overseas fees from South Asia. This is defined as students either holding a passport from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal or Sri Lanka
• All applicants for postgraduate taught programmes and undergraduate programmes and who are eligible for a place at the University will automatically be considered for a scholarship.

Commonwelath UK Scholarships For Indian Students

• Level of Study: Post-graduation/Ph.D. 
• Duration: 1 year in case of Post-graduation/1yr.clinical Training/3 yrs. In case of Ph..D. 
• Nominations : 55 (22 are for Ph.D. and 33 for Master's Programme including one year clinical training in Medical field )

• General Requirements and Value of Scholarships: 
  
  Indian national residing in India. The applications will normally be accepted from those candidates who have graduated first Master's degree as per requirement within the last ten years. Scholarships cover tourist-class air passage (both ways) fee, adequate maintenance and other allowance.  

New Zealand Scholarships for Indian Students

• Level of Study : Ph.D. 
• Subjects: Soil Science, Dairy Technology 
• Eligibility : 
  
  Indian national residing in India. Qualifications Master's Degree with 60% marks in respect of Soil Science and Dairy Technology. Experience 2 years after obtaining Master's Degree.
• Value/Passage Cost : 
  
  Travel to and from New Zealand is arranged by the shortest route and economy class as arranged by the authorities of the donor No provision is made for the expenses of the dependent. Expenditure on board, lodging, books, study material, tuition fee, internal travel related to studies and medical care is met by donor country. 
• Application Procedure: 
  
  Typed application with attested copies of testimonials, programme of study, photograph and other documents should be submitted on plain paper (as per format notified) by prescribed date. Employed persons should send their applications through their employer.
